Keep the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>soil at 24\u00b0C to 36\u00b0C during germination, which lasts 2 to 3 weeks. One wonders against whom this curious beauty is protecting itself with such an array of orange thorns covering its entire body. Gloves and pruning shears are needed to pick the clusters of bright red, cherry-sized fruit, sweet and slightly acidic, reminiscent of lychee. It grows to a height of 1.20 m, with large white or lilac flowers similar to those of the eggplant. Its stems are hairy (under the spines).
