The name <\/span>Drunken Woman<\/span><\/i> is undoubtedly linked to the slightly wacky appearance of this lettuce, which is in fact an ancient variety from Trentino in northern Italy, and whose original name is <\/span>Lattuga ubriacona frastagliata<\/span><\/i>which translates into <\/span>drunken lettuce.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

This voluminous semi-head lettuce is well supplied with <\/span>Tender, blond leaves with wine-red edges and serrated margins. Its ribs are crisp and juicy, and its leaves are redder on the outside and greener in the center, their hue brighter in autumn.<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking around 60 days to reach full size, they will look their best at the beginning and end of the growing season. We prefer cut-and-cut cultivation for midsummer.
