Redventure organic red-ribbed celery
$4.50
Apium graveolens, Apiaceae
Redventure' red-ribbed celery is a variety created some 30 years ago by Frank Morton in Oregon. It's the result of a cross between 'Giant Red', an old-fashioned red-ribbed celery, and 'Ventura', a modern celery variety particularly well adapted to organic growing methods. Plumper and juicier than old-fashioned celery, it is also more demanding in terms of water... When blanched, it produces pink hearts!
