organic arnica
$4.75
Arnica chamissonis, Asteraceae
If you don't live in the Alps but closer to sea level, as we do, it's better to grow our American Arnica rather than Arnica montana. It's a perennial plant native to North America, hardy up to zone 3 at least, which propagates by its rhizomes in all directions and tolerates poor soils when they're not too dry, in full sun or a little shade. Accepted as a medicinal ingredient substitute for mountain arnica, its fresh or dried flowers are used on bruises and other traumas and inflammations without skin lesions... its pollen is also a dream booty for pollinators.
