In case you don't already have scented matricaria... This hardy annual, listed in the "Guide d'identification des mauvaises herbes du Québec", is underestimated: its finely divided leaves add a sweet, floral touch to spring salads, and the whole plant gives off a pleasant scent, especially the small, yellow, rayless cone-shaped flowers. A pineapple-scented tea is made from it. Native to western North America, where it probably colonized from Asia. An excellent plant for compact trailsides.
