The 'Burgess Buttercup' squash was named after the buttercup-like shape of the fruit. This variety of pumpkin has remained popular since its introduction in 1931 by Oscar H. Will & Co. Fruits are round but flattened, with dark green skin. The flesh is orange-yellow, dry and of excellent quality, raw or cooked. 95-100 days to maturity.
