To speed up the germination process, soak seeds in water one night before sowing. Sow shallow, in spring, between 13°C and 16°C, and aim for a final spacing of 30 cm in the garden. An alkaline pH is preferable. If the soil is acidic, add calcium or lime before sowing. Leaves can be harvested in late summer/autumn.
