Filderkraut cabbage is a traditional German variety introduced in 1924. Its head ends in an upwardly elongated point. Rich in sugar, this cabbage has excellent flavor and a very firm texture. Excellent for sauerkraut. A medium-late variety, ready to harvest 90 to 100 days after transplanting.

Sow indoors (1 cm deep) from mid-April to the end of May, raise in individual pots and transplant to the garden 4-6 weeks later. Leave 45-60 cm between plants, and 60 cm between rows.
