Brassica napus, Brassicaceae
Krosno rutabaga is a white, green-necked variety of Polish origin, very mild, kind of like kohlrabi, with a slight aroma of cinnamon and cloves... White "rutabagas" are typically milder and more subtle that yellow fleshed ones. They are called "chou-navet" in French... meaning: cabbage-turnip.
